sbpy.activity.gas.core.photo_timescale(species=None, source=None)[source]

Photodissociation timescale for a gas species.

Parameters:
speciesstring, optional

Species to look up or None to show a list of all species and sources.

sourcestring, optional

Retrieve values from this source or None to show a list of all sources for given species.

Returns:
tauQuantity or None

The timescale at 1 au. May be a two-element array: (quiet Sun, active Sun). None is returned if species or source is None.
